CHRONICLES OF PARADISE

Madame de Nancy, Clarina and Jan Dorne travel to Quelven's Madame's funeral accompanied by Clergyman Sochantre. During the night they spend together, death with life and drama with comedy is confused.

Quelven's Madame's funeral contextualizes a traveling universe populated by bandits, weapons, sex, money and blood. At the rate of the blues the crime compensates, because the money buys everything, even the death itself. In the "Chronicles of Paradise" no one dies, perhaps because they are all dead or because the true bandit, the powerful, the socially envied, that, it remains eternally alive.

The funeral ceremony is performed the music promised in testament by the Sochantre de Crozon to Madame de Quelven in exchange for the property of the Pomar do Alto. Sochantre, a religious man and a defender of the values of the soul, is determined to charge what is due to him and gradually he is revealed closer to the secrets of the flesh than to the virtues of the spirit. The stubborn attitude of the clergyman ends up wrapping the five characters in a rampant conflict of values, faults and desires that leads them to reveal their deepest secrets and sins.

Let us find out that all the guilty guilty criminals, integrated and admired by a social reality that extols the beatitude of economic power.

The strength of capital, church and dark business place the characters in an ironic situation between life and death in which eternity ends up being claimed as the purest reward of judicial impunity.
