SYNOPSIS
Gregor Samsa has been supporting his family for five years, since his father died. One day, Gregor wakes up and feels that he can't take it anymore. Unable to get out of bed, the world presents itself as an inhospitable and aggressive place. The family tries to communicate with him, but all their attempts are futile.
The three women - grandmother, mother and brother - who live in debt and who depend on Gregor to survive, panic at the sight of not being able to recover from the financial bankruptcy caused by their missing father. They will try to maintain order and normality with different strategies, all of which are useless.
The family's gaze will animalize Gregor, who will feel like a parasite. For them, he is nothing more than a bug and he himself will end up accepting his status as a monster.
The Metamorphosis it shows the human being's need to be recognized, valued and loved for what he is, not for what he produces or contributes.
What happens when we stop being useful to society? Or for others? Do we have the right to change, to transform ourselves, at any moment in our lives?
